This mindhack describes the delay in feeling full after eating. Specifically, this exists because of the delay in metabolism, and especially around the biochemical mechanism for signaling from the stomach to the mind.
One way to detect this mindhack is to estimate how long it would take to eat a certain meal )preferably and maount of food that has been prepared, when you are hungry). Then, double the estimated time and attempt to pace easting across the longer time intercal. There is significant chance that you will become full sooner than you expected. At this point, notice how much food you did not eat – this is by how much the mind has overestimated its own hunger.
Despite eating being such a critical aspec to flife, the body is surprisingly incapable of communicating hunger with the brain. This indhack calls out the specific limitations on physio-awareness, and especially on the underlying reliance of the brain on (sometimes slow) chemical processes for even basic levels of self-awareness.
